If you love Bath & Body Works and you are heading back to college this year, there is some exciting news. The brand is setting up shop in hundreds of college bookstores across the country, making it easier for you to grab your favorite scents right on campus.
What is Bath & Body works bringing to college campuses
Bath & Body Works is partnering with ICM Distributing Company to open kiosks and product displays inside college bookstores for the 2025–2026 school year. You will see them in places like Barnes & Noble College stores, Follett-operated bookstores, and even some independent campus shops.
The idea is simple — bring your favorite personal care and fragrance products closer to where you already shop for books, school supplies, and snacks.
Here is what you can expect to find:
- Body creams and lotions
- Fragrance mists
- Wallflower home fragrance diffusers
- PocketBac hand sanitizers
- Lip glosses and lip scrubs
- Hand soaps
- The signature 3-wick candles
And yes, some of the most loved scents will be stocked, including Champagne Toast, Mahogany Teakwood, and Clean House Vibes.
Why bath & body works is targeting college bookstores
This move is part of Bath & Body Works’ plan to connect more with Generation Z shoppers. The brand recently earned the title of No. 1 fragrance brand among American teens and ranked third among beauty stores most shopped at by teens, according to the Piper Sandler Taking Stock with Teens Spring 2025 Survey.
Chief Merchandising Officer Betsy Schumacher explained that by making products available where students already are, the brand is giving them “convenience and access” without requiring a trip to the mall or waiting for an online order.
How many locations will open and where you will find them
Bath & Body Works products will be available at about 600 college campuses across the United States. Over 400 of these are in Barnes & Noble College and Follett-owned campus bookstores. The rest are in independent bookstores.
Some major universities and colleges on the list include:
- University of Alabama
- Arizona State University
- University of Florida
- University of Michigan
- University of Texas at Austin
- Ohio State University
- Penn State University
- University of California, Los Angeles
- University of Georgia
- Texas A&M University
These are just a few examples. The full list spans from large state universities to smaller private colleges, so there is a good chance you might see Bath & Body Works right on your own campus.
What this means for students
For many students, this will make shopping much easier. You will be able to:
- Pick up gifts for friends without leaving campus
- Restock on your favorite lotion or body spray between classes
- Try new scents without making a special trip to the mall
It is also likely that students will see seasonal collections and special promotions tied to campus events, making it even more convenient to shop.
How this fits into the brand’s bigger picture
Bath & Body Works is known for keeping up with trends and finding ways to be where its customers are. By setting up in college bookstores, the brand is tapping into a steady stream of shoppers who are often pressed for time but still want to indulge in self-care and fragrance.
This move also gives Bath & Body Works a way to build loyalty with younger shoppers early on, which could translate into long-term customers after graduation.
