Hey, have you heard what Chipotle is doing this summer? If you’re a burrito fan—and let’s be honest, who isn’t—this is something you’ll want to jump on. Chipotle is rolling out a program called “Summer of Extras” from June 1 through August 31, and they’re planning to give away over $1 million in free burritos. Here’s how it works and how you can get in on the action.

What Is “Summer of Extras”?

So, here’s the deal: If you’re a Chipotle Rewards member (or if you sign up), you can opt into this summer program and earn rewards just by eating Chipotle like you normally do. Once you’re in, you’ll start completing monthly milestones to earn bonus points, exclusive badges, sweepstakes entries, and—best of all—free burritos.

And get this: Each month, the milestones reset. That means you get three chances (June, July, and August) to rack up rewards.

Here’s How the Milestones Work

Each month, you can unlock up to four milestones by purchasing entrees. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Milestone 1: Buy 1 entrée → Get 50 bonus points, 5 sweepstakes entries, and an Extras badge.
  • Milestone 2: Buy 2 more entrées → Earn 100 bonus points, 10 entries, and another badge.
  • Milestone 3: Buy 2 more entrées → You’ll score 200 points, 15 entries, and another badge.
  • Milestone 4: Buy 2 more entrées → Get 300 points, 30 entries, and a fourth badge.

You’re limited to two qualifying entrée purchases per day, so pace yourself!

Weekly Free Burrito Giveaway

On top of the milestones, Chipotle is also giving away 10,000 free burritos every single week this summer. Seriously! All you need to do is opt into the program and make any entrée purchase, either in-store or online, to be automatically entered into that week’s drawing.

And if you’re not making a purchase that week, don’t worry—you can still enter by submitting an online form during the weekly entry period.

Each weekly period starts Sunday at midnight PT and ends the following Saturday at 11:59 p.m. PT. The final week runs from August 24 through August 31.

Track Your Progress and Win Even Bigger

Chipotle’s even made it fun to track your journey with a personal dashboard. It shows how many entrees you’ve bought and even keeps count of how many different Chipotle locations you’ve visited during the summer. Plus, for the most dedicated fans, there’s a chance to win free burritos for a whole year and a limited-edition stainless steel gift card if you complete all four milestones each month.

New Members Get a Bonus Too

Not a Chipotle Rewards member yet? No problem. Sign up, place your first order, and they’ll give you a free guac as a welcome gift.

Let’s be real—summer just got a whole lot tastier. 🌯
