McDonald’s is putting a twist on its menu this summer with a dessert that will transport you back to those campfire evenings and s’mores cravings.
Why is everyone talking about the S’mores McFlurry
It’s no secret that the McFlurry is a big deal at McDonald’s. It first appeared back in 1995 and quickly became a fast food icon. The combination of creamy vanilla soft serve with all kinds of delicious mix-ins kept people coming back for more. We’ve gotten some really fun varieties over the years—from Oreo to M\&M’s—and this summer, we’re getting something a little more special.
For the first time in years, McDonald’s is adding a S’mores McFlurry to its lineup. The treat is made with smooth vanilla soft serve blended with mini marshmallows, crispy graham cracker bits, and rich Hershey’s milk chocolate. But there’s a teensy-weensy catch to it—it’s a seasonal item, only on sale until August 11. That gives you only a couple of months in which to get your hands on it. If it reappears next summer as a big thing, there’s some hope, but until then, it’s an indulgence of a limited run.
