Shake Shack fans, get ready—your city might be next on the list. The popular burger chain just announced it is expanding to three new cities starting July 2, 2025, and if you live in Buffalo, Naples, or Oklahoma City, you are in luck.

This is part of Shake Shack’s ongoing plan to bring its burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and shakes to more parts of the U.S. If you have been waiting for a Shack to open closer to home, this might be the news you have been hoping for.

What are the new shake shack locations opening on july 2?

Shake Shack is officially opening stores in the following cities:

  • Buffalo, New York

Address: 760 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14222

This is the first Shake Shack in Buffalo. Locals will now get a taste of the signature ShackBurger and cheese fries without driving to another city.

  • Naples, Florida

Address: 1000 Immokalee Rd, Naples, FL 34110

This new location brings the fast-casual favorite to Southwest Florida, just in time for the summer rush.

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Address: 1900 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73118

Oklahoma finally joins the Shake Shack family with this opening, and it is expected to draw a crowd on launch day.

Why is shake shack expanding to new cities?

Shake Shack’s Chief Development Officer Andrew McCaughan said it best:

“This year, we’re excited to bring Shake Shack to new cities like Buffalo, Naples, and Oklahoma City, expand our footprint across many of our key growth markets, open more drive-thrus, and launch our very first company-operated Shack with a cocktail bar at the Battery in Atlanta.”

In other words, Shake Shack is focused on meeting customers where they are—especially in places that have been asking for a location for years.

The company is expanding fast, especially in suburban areas, where people want more fun, flavorful dining options.

How many new shake shack stores have opened in 2025?

So far this year, 34 new Shake Shack locations have opened, including:

  • Suburban drive-thrus
  • Airport locations
  • International restaurants

Some of the cities that recently got new Shacks include:

  • Naperville, Illinois
  • Brick, New Jersey
  • Oxnard, California
  • Clifton, Ohio
  • Goodyear, Arizona
  • The Boulevard in New York
  • Ridge Hill in New York
  • Foothill Village in Utah

Globally, Shake Shack has launched restaurants in:

  • Busan, South Korea
  • Metepec, Mexico
  • Cambridge, United Kingdom

What else is coming for shake shack?

McCaughan also shared big plans for the future. Shake Shack is aiming to open 80 to 85 new restaurants worldwide this year. Some of the future openings will include:

  • Tucson, Arizona
  • New York’s Capital Region
  • Panama, expected in 2026

And starting in 2026, Shake Shack will also open locations inside 10 casino properties through a new partnership with PENN Entertainment. The first two are expected to be:

  • Hollywood Casino in Toledo, Ohio
  • River City Casino Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri

With all of these openings, one thing is clear—Shake Shack is just getting started. If your city is not on the list yet, do not worry. It might be coming soon.
