Pay attention, witches and doughnut lovers! Krispy Kreme enchanted the hearts of fans globally with its latest wizardly offering. Thursday, Aug. 14, was when fan-favorite doughnut shop Krispy Kreme rolled out its Harry Potter Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme Collection, a collection of enchanted doughnuts infused with the four mythical Hogwarts houses. Starting Monday, Aug. 18, the limited-time treats will occupy store shelves, eagerly poised to transport taste buds into the wizarding universe.
Houses come to life
Every doughnut is a party of the unique personality and colors of its house, where playful design intersects with deep flavor:
- Gryffindor doughnut: Courage has never had a taste so fine. This shell doughnut of an unglazed shell, filled with Kreme flavored with cookie butter, coated in bright red icing, topped with Biscoff cookie crumbles and golden icing drizzles, and the Gryffindor crest, is all just waiting for the bite that will have courage streaming through your blood.
- Slytherin doughnut: Sneaky and cunning, this Original Glazed doughnut is finished with green buttercream and chocolate swirl toppings, a chocolate cookie sugar blend, and the Slytherin crest. Perfect for the sweet tooth with a sneaky taste.
- Hufflepuff doughnut: Snug and true to heart, this doughnut contains brown butter toffee custard, topped with cheerful sunny golden yellow icing, black chocolate drizzle, cookie crunch, and the Hufflepuff crest. Cozy, comforting, and sweet—exactly like a hug from a Hufflepuff friend.
- Ravenclaw doughnut: Witty and intelligent, this Original Glazed doughnut is finished with blueberry glaze and the Ravenclaw crest and sprinkles. It’s the perfect treat for visionaries who have big aspirations and even bigger plans.
The sorting hat surprise
To complete the magical treat, Krispy Kreme is also offering a Sorting Hat Doughnut by itself in a specialty limited-edition box. The mysterious treat contains Kreme encased in one of the four Hogwarts house colors, chocolate-flavored icing dip, sugar-coated with sparkling gold stars and sugar, and topped with a small Sorting Hat topper. Which house will your doughnut sort into? The not knowing is half the fun!
Get them before they disappear
The doughnuts can be purchased individually, in custom-designed dozen boxes, or via pickup and delivery through the Krispy Kreme app and website. Select retailers will also offer a six-pack version. Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Brand and Product Officer, promises that this collection is fleeting: “We’re channeling the beloved magic of Harry Potter and the Houses of Hogwarts for a truly bewitching collection.
