TJ Maxx opens 6 new stores across the U.S. this fall
A wave of new T.J. Maxx stores is opening soon — and shoppers in several states will get a chance to browse brand-new aisles filled with clothes, home décor, and beauty finds.
The popular discount retailer announced that six new locations will open across five states between late October and mid-November 2025. The move is part of a larger expansion plan from its parent company, TJX Companies, which also owns Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and HomeSense.

A growing retail giant
T.J. Maxx’s parent company, TJX, continues to grow its presence both in the U.S. and overseas. The company operates in nine countries across three continents and owns over 1,300 T.J. Maxx stores in total.
In a statement, TJX CEO Ernie Herrman said last year that the company planned to open at least 1,300 new stores worldwide across all its brands. As of October 2025, a company spokesperson confirmed that 34 new stores have already opened in the U.S. this year — and more are coming before the year ends.
T.J. Maxx’s expansion comes at a time when many shoppers are turning to discount retailers to save money amid higher living costs. The brand’s mix of name-brand clothing and home items at lower prices has kept it a go-to shopping spot for millions of Americans.
Where the new stores are opening
According to the company’s website, the six new T.J. Maxx stores will open on the following dates and in these locations:
- October 19 – 192 Covenant Drive, Batesville, Mississippi
- October 23 – 80 Cobblestone Court Drive, Victor, New York
- November 6 – 25959 Lorrain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio
- November 6 – 6384 Ridgewood Court, Jackson, Mississippi
- November 9 – 832 East Main Street, Gardner, Kansas
- November 13 – 8101 N.E. Parkway Drive, Vancouver, Washington
In addition to these openings, T.J. Maxx also recently opened two other locations — one in Riverbank, California and another in Salem, New Hampshire.
What shoppers can expect in the new stores
Each new T.J. Maxx location will feature the same mix of clothing, accessories, and home products that the brand is known for. Shoppers can expect aisles filled with women’s, men’s, and kids’ fashion, along with shoes, handbags, jewelry, and beauty items.
T.J. Maxx also sells a wide range of home goods, from bedding and kitchenware to furniture and seasonal décor. With Halloween and the holidays coming up, shoppers can also find festive decorations, gifts, and pet toys in the seasonal section.
The retailer’s “treasure hunt” shopping style — where new items are added often and inventory varies by store — is part of what keeps customers coming back. No two T.J. Maxx stores are exactly the same, which adds excitement to every visit.

T.J. Maxx’s online presence and expansion
For shoppers who can’t visit in person, T.J. Maxx launched its online store in 2013, allowing customers to shop from home at tjmaxx.com. The site offers clothing, accessories, and home goods similar to what’s available in stores — though inventory changes frequently.
The company’s growth strategy focuses on combining strong in-store sales with digital convenience. TJX’s executives have said they believe brick-and-mortar stores remain a key part of their success because customers enjoy browsing and discovering deals in person.
Looking ahead
T.J. Maxx’s fall openings show that the retailer continues to thrive in a changing shopping world. While some chains are downsizing or closing stores, TJX is betting on expansion — bringing new stores to neighborhoods across the country.
