Hey, if you’re a Bed Bath & Beyond fan, I’ve got some good news that will brighten your day. More than two years have passed since the company filed for bankruptcy, but the store is coming back—but with a twist. It’s now being rebranded as Bed Bath & Beyond Home, and the first one opens this Friday in Nashville.

A fresh start in Nashville

This is not a typical store reopening. The Brand House Collective—yes, the same group that used to work for Kirkland’s—is behind the revival. They run a variety of retail brands, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, and Overstock.

As Starr Hudgens, the head of staff at Brand House Collective, describes it, the new shops will not be exact replicas from before. Rather, they will be all about things people actually care about: seasonal home decor, bedroom furniture, and bath and laundry products. It’s a bit like a wiser, more intense version of the vintage shop that you might have known.

Honoring the past

Here’s the good news: if you still happen to have any of those old blue-and-white Bed Bath & Beyond coupons lying around, bring them in. Brand House is accepting legacy coupons as a means of bringing back old customers. Hudgens refers to it as an attempt to reach out to consumers who loved the store for decades.

Plans for more stores

Nashville is just the beginning. Hudgens says they’re planning four more Bed Bath & Beyond Home stores throughout the area, and the team is observing what works so that they can replicate it. They’ll adjust product and brand alignment as they figure out what consumers love most. Slow growth is the plan as they enter 2026.

A brand that’s to rebuild

Bed Bath & Beyond wasn’t always on the edge. It opened in 1971 and grew into a retail giant with over 300 stores internationally. But with the online shopping revolution and sales plummeting, the retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2023 and closed all its stores.

Over the past few years, it tried to make a comeback online and even had Container Store locations where it marketed its offerings. Now, with help from Brand House Collective, it’s trying life again—new look, better stock, and a savvier method of marketing.

The road ahead

Experts warn the turnaround won’t be a cakewalk. John Bringardner of Debtwire explains that although the company is trying immensely to reboot, its finances remain precarious. This new beginning will require effort, tolerance, and perhaps some good fortune.

Still, for those who came of age digging through kitchen gadgetry, bed ensembles, and quirky home furnishings at Bed Bath & Beyond, this is exciting news. The iconic store you remembered returns – but revitalised for how we live in the home today.
