Tractor Supply Company, a favorite among farmers, pet owners, and homeowners, is spreading its wings throughout the United States. On June 6, in an email to USA TODAY, the company announced its plan to open more than 90 new stores by the end of 2025.

That count includes up to 10 new sites of its pet-focused brand, Petsense by Tractor Supply, that offer a smaller-format store experience dedicated exclusively to pet products and services.

And this is just the beginning. The retailer also shared its 2026 plan: another 100 Tractor Supply stores and yet another 10 Petsense stores on tap.

Where are the new stores opening?

Although Tractor Supply has not gone public yet on where exactly the new stores of the future will be, it did release the names of cities where new stores opened already this year (as of March 29, 2025).

Here are the cities where you can see a new Tractor Supply store currently:

In the West:

  •  Laveen, Arizona
  •  Big Bear Lake, California
  •  Jurupa Valley, California
  •  Redding, California

In the South:

  •  Orangetree, Florida
  •  Silver Springs, Florida
  •  Lake Park, Georgia
  •  Carencro, Louisiana

In the Midwest:

 Clare, Michigan

 Amelia, Ohio

 Columbiana, Ohio

 Lebanon, Ohio

In the East and Southeast:

  •  West End, North Carolina
  •  Zebulon, North Carolina
  •  Inwood, West Virginia
  •  Hanover Borough, Pennsylvania (opened January 17, 2025)

PetSense is growing too

Besides its retail stores, Tractor Supply Company is growing its pet specialty brand. It has already added one new Petsense by Tractor Supply store this year in Orange, Texas.

The company, as of March 29, has 206 PetSense stores in 23 states selling pet food, grooming, supplies, and adoption assistance.

Not only is Tractor Supply building new stores, but it is also refurbishing existing retail locations. In May, USA TODAY reported that the company purchased 18 Big Lots store leases in 15 states.

The stores will eventually become new Tractor Supply stores, giving the company a fast and efficient way of expanding into more communities without beginning from scratch.

A company spokesperson characterized:

“These locations offer the best footprint, have favorable lease conditions, and are best situated in markets we currently serve—or are about to serve—the key needs of farmers, pet and livestock owners, homeowners, and hobby farmers.”

How many stores does tractor supply have today?

As of March 29, Tractor Supply Company has 2,311 stores in 49 states, its investor website reports. With more than 200 additional stores projected in the next two years, it’s evident the company is making a big wager on America’s appetite for rural living merchandise.

If you have chickens, tomato plants, or just want a dog bed and some mulch, Tractor Supply is working diligently to be near your residence.
