If you’ve recently shopped at Costco (or ordered from Costco Next), this one’s for you. The popular warehouse giant has flagged a bunch of product recalls this July, and some of them are serious enough that you’re being told to stop using the items immediately.

I know—no one likes to think they just brought home something risky, but better safe than sorry, right?

Power banks that could overheat

Let’s start with Anker Power Banks sold through Costco Next. These are super popular for charging your phone on the go, but:

  • Anker Power Bank (Model A1257): Has battery issues. You should stop using it right away.
  • Anker PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263): Can overheat and may cause a fire risk. Anker says stop using it immediately.

If you’ve bought one, reach out to Anker for what to do next.

Air conditioners with a mold problem

Not the news you want during summer, but here it is:

  • Danby U-Shaped Window ACs and Midea models sold under different names (Frigidaire, Insignia, Mr. Cool, etc.) may trap water inside. This can lead to mold, which is a big deal for anyone with breathing issues.
  • Advice? Stop using them immediately.

Dangerous tires

If you’ve bought tires recently, here’s what’s flagged:

  • Michelin Agilis CrossClimate Tires (185/60R15C): May have chunks of tread come off. Yikes.
  • Bridgestone Blizzak 6 Tires (235/40R19): Missing a DOT safety seal. They might not be illegal, but it’s a risk.

Check your tire models, especially if you bought them through Costco’s tire center.

Facts about Dumbbells

  • Bowflex Adjustable Dumbbells are being recalled because the weights could fall off during use, which is the last thing you want mid-rep.
  • If you have them, stop lifting them until further notice.

A risky cooler for summer trips

  • The Igloo 90 Qt Flip & Tow Cooler has a tow handle that could crush or amputate fingertips (yes, really). Stop using that handle.

Ninja pressure cooker recall

Food and drink alerts

  • Fresh and Ready Foods Sandwiches & Salads sold in select Costco Business Centers (AZ, CA, NV, WA) may be contaminated with Listeria. These are serious—don’t eat anything with a use-by date of May 11.
  • Topo Chico Mineral Water 18-pack (Texas and Louisiana) could contain pseudomonas bacteria. Not dangerous for everyone, but risky for people with weak immune systems.

How to check and return

You can find all current and past recalls on Costco’s website under “Product Recalls.” Costco usually accepts returns without a time limit, though some items like electronics or customized goods have restrictions.

So, take a moment, check your shelves, and make sure none of these recalled products are in your home. Safety first!
