If you’re relying on the Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) program in Florida to pay your family’s bills, I’ll bet that you’ll want to keep close tabs on your payments. With July just around the corner, it’s great to know when payments are going out, how much you’ll receive, and what the criteria are for ongoing eligibility for this assistance.

I’ll walk you through it.

How much can you get from TCA

That is how much you get per month based on your family:

One child: $240–$300 per month (based on age)

 Relative caregiver payments:

  •  Ages 0–5: $242/month
  •  6–12 years old: $249/month
  •  13–17 years old: $298/month

Who is eligible for TCA benefits

You’ll be eligible if you meetthese key requirements:

  •  Have a dependent child under 18 years of age (or 19 years of age if a full-time high school student)
  •  Be pregnant woman in 3rd trimester and can’t work (or 9th month pregnant)
  •  Be living in Florida
  •  Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen

⏳ Adults are eligible for TCA for 48 months in total, while children are not allocated a limit.

If you’re depending on this assistance, it’s only logical to coordinate your payment timetables, remain within program regulations, and budget for your future. You’re taking care of your family—but with the knowledge of when your aid will get to you, you’re more at ease.
