If you recently bought vitamin gummies to improve your health, please pay attention. There’s a new recall that you need to know about. Vita Warehouse Corp. has issued a voluntary recall of various bestselling vitamin B12 gummy products over an extremely serious health risk—undeclared peanut allergens. Let me walk you through all of the information you need in order to stay safely informed.
Why does this matter so much
Peanuts are an extremely powerful allergen for the majority of people. Should you be allergic to peanuts, or whoever you care about is—do not take it lightly. An allergy varies from a rash and tingling in your mouth and lips to something quite more serious, anaphylactic shock. Anaphylactic shock may lead to labored breathing, swelling of the face and the neck, and alteration in blood pressure. If you or your family member starts experiencing these symptoms, you must seek medical help immediately.
Peanuts are the leading trigger for anaphylactic reactions. That is no small miracle when foods do not have correct labels and people with peanut allergies inadvertently ingest them.
