Your Wise card has spending and ATM withdrawal limits on how much you can withdraw. The limits are for your protection and based on your country of residence.
Each card has daily limits that will be reset every midnight and monthly limits that will be reset every first day of every month.
If you move to another country and update your address in Wise, your limits will automatically be shifted to match your new location. You may view your current limits anytime within the Wise app or on the site under the “Card” tab.
Spending and withdrawal limits by country
The limits for Wise card holders also differ based on the country of issue of the card. For Australia, the spend limit per month is 52,500 AUD and the ATM withdrawal limit per month is 7,000 AUD. For Brazil, the spend limit is 120,000 BRL, while the ATM withdrawal limit is 20,000 BRL. For Canada, the spend limit is 55,000 CAD, while the ATM withdrawal limit is 7,000 CAD.
For the European Union, the spend limit is 30,000 EUR, with 4,000 EUR for ATM withdrawals. In Japan, the spending limit is 4,000,000 JPY, with an ATM withdrawal limit of 530,000 JPY. For Malaysia, the spending limit is 170,000 MYR and the ATM withdrawal limit is 23,000 MYR. New Zealand has a spend limit of 52,500 NZD with an ATM withdrawal limit of 7,000 NZD.
The Philippines’ spending limit is 2,000,000 PHP and the ATM withdrawal limit is 275,000 PHP. For Singapore, the spending limit is 50,000 SGD, and the ATM withdrawal limit is 7,000 SGD. In the UK, the spending limit is 30,000 GBP and the ATM withdrawal limit is 4,000 GBP.
Aside from these restrictions, there are also specific limits for particular countries. In Japan, no transaction can exceed 1,000,000 JPY. In the Philippines, no transaction can exceed 480,000 PHP, including ATM withdrawals. In Singapore, the total spending limit within 12 months is 100,000 SGD.
Wise card limits for US customers
US-based multi-currency Cardholders have different spending limits based on payment method. The spending limit for one chip and PIN or mobile wallet payment starts at 1,000 USD and can be increased to 2,000 USD. The daily spending limit for such payments is also 1,000 to 2,000 USD, and the monthly spending limit is 5,000 to 15,000 USD.
For an ATM withdrawal, the one-time limit is 250 to 1,000 USD, the daily limit is the same, and the monthly limit is 1,500 to 6,000 USD. For contactless, the one-time is 200 to 400 USD, the daily one is 500 to 1,000 USD, and the monthly one is 1,500 to 4,000 USD. Magnetic stripe transactions have a per-transaction limit of 1,000 to 1,500 USD, the same daily limit, and a monthly limit of 1,500 to 6,000 USD. Online purchases have a per-transaction limit of 1,000 to 2,000 USD, a daily limit of the same amount, and a monthly limit of 2,000 to 15,000 USD.
All Wise US cards have standard spending limits. If you wish to spend more, you can request a limit increase.
Business customers and changing your limits
Business customers with a Wise card have different spending limits. If your business needs a greater monthly limit, you can request an increase. You can also change your spending and withdrawal limits at any time through the Wise app or website. Always check your Wise account for the most recent limits based on your location and account type.
