Dartmouth’s flexible enrollment plan: How costs may vary
Dartmouth offers students the D-Plan, which allows flexibility in enrollment throughout the year. Additional expenses to consider
Health insurance
All students must have health insurance while attending Dartmouth. Unless a student can provide proof of comparable coverage, they must enroll in the Student Group Health Insurance Plan, which costs $4,371 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Computer requirement
Dartmouth requires all incoming students to have a personal computer that meets the college’s specifications. Students can either bring their own or purchase a basic computer package through the college, which costs $1,700.

Travel expenses
Travel to and from Dartmouth is considered an educational expense, and an allowance of at least $250 is factored into the estimated cost of attendance.
