If you’re a Target Circle 360 member, there’s a big reason to smile starting May 19. Target is rolling out a new benefit that could save you real money on your same-day deliveries—and it has to do with those pesky price markups that have quietly been adding up. Here’s what you need to know.

Say goodbye to price markups on Shipt orders

Until now, if you ordered from Target’s partner stores through Shipt—the delivery service Target bought back in 2017—you might have noticed some items cost more than they do in-store. These price markups were standard practice when shopping with Shipt, even if you were a Target Circle 360 subscriber. That’s changing.

As of May 19, Target is removing those markups for all Target Circle 360 members. This means you’ll now pay the same prices you’d find in-store when shopping from any of the 100+ retailers in the Shipt network. That includes familiar names like CVS, PetSmart, Lowe’s, Hy-Vee, and Giant Eagle. (Just note: some alcohol purchases may still include markups.)

Real savings, Real fast

Target says this change could save you nearly $20 per order—without you needing to do anything extra. Whether you’re picking up pet food, groceries, or household tools, you now get store pricing without the delivery fee inflation.

Cara Sylvester, Target’s executive vice president and chief guest experience officer, put it this way: “We’ve built a true digital shopping center experience—making your Saturday errand run easier, faster, and more affordable.” And really, who doesn’t want that?

What is Target Circle 360, exactly?

If you’re not yet a member, let’s break it down. Target Circle 360 is a paid subscription service (launched in April 2024) that costs $99 a year or $10.99 a month. It’s not to be confused with the regular Target Circle loyalty program, which is free to join.

With Circle 360, you get:

  • Free same-day delivery on orders over $35
  • Free two-day shipping on many items
  • No-rush return options
  • Early access to select deals
  • Special monthly freebies

And now, you also get no price markups on items delivered from Target’s partner stores via Shipt.

Bonus perk for new members

Thinking of joining? New members get $20 off their first order of $75 or more from any of the Shipt partner retailers (excluding alcohol). That makes it even easier to try it out and start saving right away.

If you’re a Target Circle cardholder, you can get the subscription for just $49 per year—half the regular price. That’s a solid deal if you shop at Target often or like the convenience of fast delivery.
