Krispy Kreme is spreading patriotic cheer this Independence Day with a scrumptious treat. On July 4th, 2025, you can visit any participating Krispy Kreme location and grab a free Original Glazed doughnut—no purchase necessary.
The catch You have to go wearing red, white, and blue. That’s it! Dress up in America’s flag colors, walk in, and you’re greeted by one of their famous doughnuts, fresh and hot.
But remember—one free doughnut per person, so don’t plan on grabbing a dozen unless you’re taking the whole family along.
Where and when to get your free doughnut
The free doughnut promotion is available only on July 4th, so make your visit that day. Stop by a participating Krispy Kreme location—most of their locations nationwide are scheduled to participate, but it couldn’t hurt to call ahead first just to be certain.
And, yes, you truly do have to be dressed head-to-toe in red, white, and blue clothing. A flag-printed t-shirt, striped hat, or a full costume—anything that makes you feel patriotic, Krispy Kreme wants to see it.

While you’re picking up your giveaway, you might want to check out Krispy Kreme’s new holiday doughnut collection, which was specially created for the 4th of July.
There are three limited-edition doughnuts in the “Stars, Stripes & Sweetness Collection”:
1. Freedom Ring Doughnut—Original Glazed doughnut coated with white icing and topped with blue sprinkles and white stars and completed with red icing stripes.
2. USA Party Doughnut—Filled with white buttercream, red, white, and blue festive toppings, and topped off with a USA sugar piece.
3. Vanilla Cookies & Kreme Liberty Crunch Doughnut—Thick unglazed doughnut shell filled with vanilla Cookies & Kreme filling and topped with white icing, cookie crumbles, patriotic sprinkles, and drizzled with white icing.
